The Lotus Flower

One of the galleries that shows my work in my hometown participated in a Gallery Hop this weekend. I was fortunate to spend a couple of hours discussing my work with patrons of the event. One photo in particular, Beaming, caught the eye of many who past because they couldn't quite understand what it was. I found myself pulling out my phone to show other photos of the lotus flower I have taken over the last couple of years. In addition, the yoga studio where I practice and teach celebrated it's 3rd anniversary the same day. I gave a framed copy of my of may favorite Lotus photos to my dear friend who owns the studio as a "birthday gift" of sorts. By the end of the day I felt the need to organize several of these photos into one collection. The lotus flower is a strong symbol in the yoga world and I am happy to share it with others.
